Problem
Given that cherries were seasonal-premium price
Typical consumers bought cherries because they were wanted complements to other high-end consumables such as wines and cheeses.




German and Belgium people are more price sensitive than Britons
Pruning cherry trees and growing cherries 26 to 28mm are important things but farmers think it’s unnecessary.


Approach

1. Making consumer understand that packaging
is better than box type
-> form 5kg boxes of loose cherries to 250g small grab packs (punnets)
2. Changing supply chain to reduce the price
3. Paying double for cherries with largerdiameters and better coloration.
4. Selling “luxury” cherries in the U.K.
